Click here to leave a condolenceJoAnn was one of the most memorable people We have ever known along with her husband Wayne. God bless her and keep her.
- Maureen & Jim Beatty, Sunday May 15th, 2022Joey had such a positive impact on all of the Davey family and many of my parents friends too.. She was so caring & treated all of us as part of the Dixon family. I will always cherish how she and Wayne had done so much to provide me guidance thru my faith journey and joining the Catholic community. Joey will always be in our hearts and hope she enjoys being in heaven with my Mom & Dad. I will try my best to follow her lead by treating everyone in life as a friend like she did so gracefully. Rest in peace Joey.

- Fitz and Karalee Lawrence , Friday May 13th, 2022Having managed youth baseball for many years, when I think of super parents, I immediately think of Wayne and JoAnn Dixon! I was fortunate enough to draft their sons, Michael and Brian. The Dixon's always demonstrated conduct as parents to support both Michael and Brian. These two (2) players were always transported to and from practices and games. Typically, Wayne and/or Jo Ann would drop the players off and if we had a game, both usually returned to provide enthusiasm for not only their sons but other team members as well. The Dixons had rearing a family down pretty well and they provided their family with love, discipline, respect and Catholic Christian values. Wayne and JoAnn were simply great folks. I label my affection and respect for both as persons who were indeed very humble and genuine. For nearly sixty-five (65) years, they were partners, and enjoyed each other while supporting a common mission of living a defined Christian life! Without a doubt, whenever I think of Wayne and JoAnn, I see smiles and hear laughter regardless with whom they were conversing. They enjoyed people and people enjoyed them. JoAnn was a really sweet lady, devoted to Wayne and a dedicated mother to all of her children! Heaven just gained a super special angel. Wayne, her children, grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends, including me shall miss her dearly. I know she is in Heaven, engaged in her new life. Hold your head high, JoAnn, because you are being rewarded for living your earthly life so extremely well. Hopefully, if I earn the right to enter God's Eternal Kingdom, I will look forward to seeing you and we shall remember Michael and Brian when they were in Springfield Babe Ruth and our mutual friends with whom you have now joined. Please do not take everything they say about me as truthful. Take good mental notes and I will be sincerely honest with you! Keep smiling, JoAnn and Rest In Peace. You are beautiful in both your appearance and your personality! Credit Wayne for choosing so wisely well!
