Green or Natural burial is for the environmentally friendly or those who prefer simplicity over traditional service. Green burial is the interment of the body in the ground in a manner that does not inhibit decomposition, allowing the body to recycle naturally. By using environmentally friendly caskets or burial shrouds, a respectful burial can take place. Visitations and funeral ceremonies can still be performed prior to a green burial.

We are the only funeral home in Clark County who is certified by the Green Burial Council. We are one of a select number of funeral homes in the country who meet the criteria for providing green funeral service by the Green Burial Council; a tax-exempt, nonprofit organization working to encourage environmental sustainability in the field of funeral services.

Our green package allows for a funeral to take place without the use of toxic and non-biodegradable materials/chemicals. It includes our services for body preparation, storage, transportation, burial shroud, and the filling out of all necessary documentation, permits and certificates. Eco-friendly caskets are available at an additional cost.

Nestled just outside of Yellow Springs, Ohio in Glen Forest Cemetery is an environmentally-sustainable burial option. Here, human remains are allowed to decompose naturally and recycle into new plant life.
