Amy, Mike, Family And All Loved Ones It is with great sadness to learn that this world lost a very commendable and steadfast father, brother, grandfather, neighbor, friend and loved one to so many. I knew Jim as the honorable father of Amy, my childhood best friend, for over 35+ years. Jim was a doting, yet stern father, who made it his mission to see that Amy was well cared for and loved. He played a vital and dual role in Amy's life. Not only as her father, but he filled the absence of her loving and greatly missed mother as well. Often an extremely hard job to do, yet he will be forever remembered for the phenomenal and instrumental role he was called to task to do, and so he did. His determination and hard work is the result of Amy's free spirit and beauty that she projects unto the world as we know her today, and just as I remember her over 35 years ago. Jim always encouraged her to try new things in life. He wanted her to be her charming unique self, prove to others that she was driven, self confident, and pushed her to explore everything that life's wonder had to offer. Throughout her entire life, he was her ultimate champion, and she was his biggest fan. Jim was proud of Amy and all of her achievements. Jim taught Amy to respect others, practice kindness, and above all, treat others dignity. Just as he did throughout his own life. All the while, to never compromise her own ethics, morals, dreams, and desires. He encouraged all his children to explore all of life's glory. As many pf us know, sometimes as we grow older, our roles as parents to children are reversed. Often times we, the child, become the sole caregiver for our beloved parents and are forced to be in a position we never want to except. But that is known as the circle of life. For years, Amy and Mike have played an instrumental role in Jim's care. It is without any doubt, that I know in my heart that Amy and Mike only had Jim's best interest at heart. He encouraged them to captivate and explore nature's beauty with grace through a different set of lens, and share their talents with the masses. I know Amy loved and deeply admired Jim. Possibly, for the loved ones left behind, have faith in knowing that Jim now has 2 sets of wings. He is a Pilot and now he is....an Angel

We lost a Jedi this week. Jim loved the stars, and he was one of the lucky ones to see launches first hand. John Glenn once said, “We are more fulfilled when we are involved in something bigger than ourselves.” From oceans to the far reaches of space, Jim had a life like that. He will be greatly missed.
