William J. "Bill" Beach

BEACH, William J. "Bill", 89, of Springfield, passed away Friday, April 03, 2015 in Eaglewood Care Center. He was born April 4, 1925 in Springfield, Ohio the son of John N. and Margaret (Timmons) Beach. Bill worked at Morris-Bean as an electrician and maintenance foreman for over 35 years. He was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church and K of C #624, was an avid golfer, fisherman and an Ohio State Buckeyes and Cincinnati Reds fan. He is survived by four children and their spouses; Julie and Bill Michel of Clayton, Ohio, Bonni and Dale Compton of Mechanicsburg, Ohio, Susie and Howard Stein of Strongsville, Ohio and Bill and Sarah Beach of Springfield; one son-in-law, Ed Metzger, Centerville, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; Joe Metzger, Teresa Metzger, David Metzger, Amy Magan, Shelley Baldwin, Jeff Michel, Angie Barnes, Nick Michel, Andy Stathopoulos, Tina Edwards, Chris Compton, William J. Beach, II, Maggie Beach and Elliott Beach; 16 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; 3 siblings, Geraldine Hempelman, Arizona, Richard Beach, Centerville and Margaret Ann Murray, Englewood and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, Margaret in 2007, a daughter Connie Metzger in 2011, 5 brothers, Doug, Thom, Phil, Dan and Jack, 2 sisters, Jean and Betty and a special friend Jean Yontz. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Wednesday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday in St. Teresa Church. Burial will be Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or U.S.O.
