Roush, William Eugene "Gene", 91, of Springfield, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Forest Glen Health Campus. He was born December 13, 1924 in Springfield the son of William S. and Dorothy L. (Adams) Roush. He was retired from Southwestern Sales and Conroy Funeral Home. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Past Master of St. Andrews Lodge #619, a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels, and a U.S. Navy Veteran, having served in World War II. Survivors include two daughters, Pam (Dan) Price and Nancy Bartley, both of Springfield; seven grandchildren, Denise Price, Matt (Tami) Bartley, Scott (Marcy) Price, Marc (Molly) Price, John Bartley, Kyle Bartley and Danielle (Jason) Chesshir; 13 great grandchildren, Jaylen, Cheyanne, Alexis, Peyton, Paxton, Brock, Brady, Stephanie, Kelli, Keely, Jachin, Addie and Wylie; one great great grandchild, Jaiden; one sister, Joanne Babineaux; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Beatrice; sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Roger McDorman; brother-in-law, Charles Babineaux; son-in-law, Dan Bartley; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Vivian and Paul Beckers; two nieces, Susan McDorman and Susan ¬¬¬¬Dewey. The family would like to thank all the staff at Forest Glen and Kindred Hospice for their excellent care. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday in CONROY FUNERAL HOME with a Masonic service at 7:00 p.m. His funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with Pastor Rick Clos officiating. Burial will be in Medway Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Masonic Temple Building Fund or Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
