Willa Mae Carr

Carr, Willa "Mae", 83, of Springfield, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017. Mae was born October 21, 1933 in Metalton, West Virginia to Luther Grant and Myrtle Elizabeth (Bass) Petty. She was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church. Survivors include two children, Jimmy (Sandra) Carr and Lori Ann Carr; four grandchildren, Sydney (Gary) Shope, Samantha White, Lucas White and Elizabeth Holland; one great grandson, Hunter Shope; one great granddaughter due in June; and one sister, Mary Devers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Carr; two brothers, George Petty and Henry Petty; and one sister, Zelma Ross. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3 - 5 p.m. in the Conroy Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Marks United Methodist Church with Rev. Merrill Mellott officiating. Entombment will be held in Rose Hill Burial Park. Memorial donations may be made to St. Marks United Methodist Church - UMW.
