Viris Warren Cochran

Cochran, Viris Warren, 88, passed away April 19th in Las Vegas NV. Viris was born June 22, 1924 in Springfield OH to the late George and Allena. He is survived by his son Larry and daughter-in-law Marilyn of Las Vegas; his son Mike of Huntington Beach, CA; his grandchildren, Kelly of Las Vegas, Alex of Laguna Beach, CA, and Nicolette of Huntington Beach, CA; his brother Norl (Doris) of Eufala, OK; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and other members of a loving extended family. He is preceded in death by his wife Esther; his sisters Oleita Murrell, Audrey Hoffman, and Marilyn Hall; and his brothers Clettis and Gerald. Viris served in the U.S. Army in World War II and was wounded in action in France. He worked as a civilian for the Air Force Standards Lab, retiring in 1982. He was active for several years in Little League, Pony League, and Babe Ruth League baseball and was an avid golfer. Viris was a member and Past Master (1978) of Masonic Lodge #771 in Heath, Ohio. A devoted family man, Viris made friends wherever he went. Friends may call in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME Tuesday, April 30th from 5-8 pm. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 1st at 11:00 am. Interment will be at Rose Hill Burial Park.
