Virginia L. Martin

MARTIN, Virginia L., 92, of Springfield, passed away on August 10, 2017 in her residence. Virginia was born on July 11, 1925 in Chillicothe, Ohio. Her parents were Edward and Margaret (Cohn) Hartman. She had previously worked for 19 years at the lunch counter for the Masonic Temple and was a member of the Eastern Star. She was also a member of St. Joseph Church. Survivors include three children, Margaret (Albert) Varga of Pittsburgh, PA, Albert (Anne) Woyat and Michael Woyat, both of Springfield; nine grandchildren, including her special caregiver, Michael Varga; and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles R. Woyat and her second husband, Robert C. Martin; her sister, Barbara Wilson and two brothers, James and John Hartman. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2 -5 p.m. in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday in St. Joseph Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
