Viola M. Keefner

KEEFNER, Viola M., 93, of Springfield, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, November 29, 2015. She was born April 9, 1922 in Seneca, PA the daughter of Frank and Mary (Stiller) Redfield. Viola worked as an aide to special needs children for Springfield City Schools for a number of years, volunteered at TAC Industries and was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church. Survivors include six children and spouses, Robert & Cindy Keefner, Lakewood, NY, Thomas & Terrie Keefner, Kewanee, IL, Judy Keefner, Xenia, OH, Lori & Barry Hassler, Springfield, OH, Susan & Dave Hammond, Beavercreek, OH and Carol Wigger, Brookville, OH; eleven grandchildren; one great granddaughter; one sister, Norma Poulson; a sister-in-law, Betty Wolfe and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Earl in 1994. Family meant everything to Viola and she will truly be missed. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Wednesday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:30 am on Thursday in St. Teresa Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in Rose Hill Mausoleum. Memorial donations can be made to Community-Mercy Hospice or St. Teresa Catholic Church.
