Valerie Jo Wilson

Wilson, Valerie Jo, 66, of Springfield, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2023 in Springfield Regional Medical Center, after a battle with cancer. Valerie was born October 15, 1957 in Springfield, Ohio, the daughter of Ned and Patricia (Payne) Richard. She retired from Superior Trim after many years. She was baptized at Rockway Lutheran Church and later became a member of High Street Church of the Nazarene. She was an avid cat lover who enjoyed spending time with her family and watching true crime stories. Survivors include Paul Wilson; two children, Patience (Jack) DeWitt and Kim Wilson; five grandchildren, Halin, Micah, Madison, Maliyah and Ameerah; one great grandson, Elian; three siblings, Guy Worthington, Gail Pape and Cindy Deutscher; four siblings-in-law, George Wilson, Clara (Timothy) Howdyshell, Mary (Roger) Taylor, and Phyllis Wilson; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, John Richard; her brother, Patrick Worthington; and nephews, Justin Deutscher, Travis Wilson and Thurman Taylor. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, December 4, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Visitation will be held one hour prior, beginning at noon in the funeral home.
