Coleman, Vadabelle Irene, 95, of Springfield, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2015 in her residence. She was born in Logan County, Ohio on April 30, 1919, the daughter of Linnie and Iva M. (Foreman) Huffman. She was a 1937 graduate of North Lewisburg High School. In 1943 she was given the Award of Excellence for Civilian Service in the Army Air Forces. She worked for many years at West-Liberty Salem Schools and was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church. Survivors include her five children and spouses, Michael Coleman, Sheila Brown both of Springfield, Terrance (Barbara) Coleman of Illinois, Peggy (Mark) Hodges of Mississippi and Kevin Coleman of South Vienna; 13 grandchildren, Anne Justice, Aaron Coleman, Maria (Robert) Taylor, Erin, Neil (Missy), Brendan, Ian, Damien and Seton Brown, Shannon Coleman, Michelle, Arianna and John (Gillian) Hodges and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James in 1997, grandson, Sean Coleman and two brothers, Chauncey and Gerald Huffman. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday in St. Raphael Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to Mass in the church. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, North Lewisburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph/St. Raphael Church. Arrangements handled by CONROY FUNERAL HOME.
