Terry D. Dyer

Dyer, Terry D., 66, of Springfield, died October 21, 2015 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born March 3, 1949 in Georgetown, OH to Fred and Juanita Dyer. Terry retired on April 1, 2015 after 43 years of service in the agricultural business. He enjoyed being outside gardening, caring for his yard, and boating. He also enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and being hospitable to his family and friends. Terry was also a Mason of the #34 Urbana Lodge. As a father, his son Preston remembers Terry spending a lot of time practicing with him on the baseball field. His daughter, Christa has some of her fondest memories of her dad during the years when she showed steers in 4-H. Survivors include his wife, Pamela; son, Preston Dyer and daughter, Christa Freyhof; eight grandchildren, Madison, Landon, Gavin, Payton, Rebekah, Sarah, Lindsay, and Caleb; three step-children, Phillip, Tiffany, and Jennifer; step-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Logan, and Mitch; one great-grandson, Jackson; sister, Karen (Bill) Howe; brother, Tim (Becky) Dyer; and a niece and three nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Kathy; and parents, Fred and Juanita Dyer. In lieu of a service, the family will have a private gathering to celebrate his life.
