Teresa Payne

Payne, Teresa, 93, of South Vienna passed away January 13, 2013. She was born February 15, 1919 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey to Mary and Alex Borsuk and had 11 sisters and brothers. She is survived by her husband William N. Payne. They fell in love after meeting at a USO event in New Jersey during World War II, soon married and shared their life together for over 67 years. Teresa is also survived by children Christine Rooney of Lynchburg, VA, Dr. Dale Payne of Tucson, AZ, Bill Payne of Columbus, OH and Mary Donato of Longboat Key, FL and their families including 4 grandchildren; Brendan Rooney, Kay Rooney, Jennifer Payne and Michelle Donato. A mass celebrating Teresa's life will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday at St. Bernard Catholic Church where Teresa was an active member. Final resting place will be Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Church in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. Arrangements handled by CONROY FUNERAL HOME.
