Tanis A. Sheets

SHEETS, Tanis A., 73, of Springfield, passed away peacefully November 13, 2013 in Oakwood Village. She was born February 20, 1940 in Springfield the daughter of Richard and Jessie (Cundiff) Rockfield. Tanis worked as a nurse for over 40 years working at Community Hospital for a majority of those years and later doing home healthcare and was the director of nursing at Grand Court. Survivors in addition to her mother, Jessie Clingan; two daughters and spouses, Kim & Bobby Leffel, Springfield and Karen & Sam McCameron, Missouri; five grandchildren, Jessica & Travis Sheets-Rowe, Tiffany Armentrout, Kevin Armentrout, Shelby Armentrout and Allison Leffel; seven great grandchildren, including Haylee, Max, Dakota, Liam, Aaliyah, Alexiana and Jarmeisha; two siblings, Richard Rockfield and Debbie Whipkey; a sister-in-law, Patricia Rockfield and a nephew, Kristopher Rockfield. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morton in 1994 and a nephew Tony Rockfield. Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Rose Hill Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel. Burial in Rose Hill Burial Park. Arrangements by Conroy Funeral Home.
