Stewart Montei

MONTEI, Stewart F., Sr., 67, of Springfield passed away Friday, September 1, 2017 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born on November 11, 1949 in Springfield the son of Frank A., Sr. and Dorothy C. (Stewart) Montei. Stewart attended The Ohio State University and graduated from Franklin University with a BS in Human Resources. He retired from the State of Ohio and the US Army after 22 years of service. Stewart was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church and Springfield Country Club. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Judy (Chatfield); four children and spouse, Stewart Montei, Jr., Jamie Montei, Rachel Montei, David & Sara Montei, all of Springfield; six grandchildren, Trevor, Elizabeth, Andrew, Daniel, Harper and Hudson; one sister, Randy & Arden Reid; one brother, Bill & Ellen Montei and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday in St. Teresa Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to your favorite charity.
