Steven Michael Tayloe

TAYLOE, Steven Michael, 60, of Riceville, TN (formerly of Springfield, OH) died unexpectedly on November 1, 2017. He was born in Springfield on February 27, 1957 the son of Thomas O. and Shirley J. (Snapp) Tayloe. Steve was a 1975 graduate of Shawnee High School and attended Clark State. He was most recently a franchise owner of DUCTZ HVAC Restoration and previously spent 29 years of his life employed at Andritz, Inc. in Springfield. Steve was very active in the St. Mary Parish and a member of the Knights of Columbus #8396 in Athens, TN. He volunteered with Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, 4-H and various youth activities with his grandchildren. He played Santa for the local VFW and every family function and opportunity available. He is survived by his wife Donna (Thacker) Tayloe; two daughters, Brandi (Tayloe) & Damon Jones and their expected son, and Shannon Tayloe and her son, Braydon; stepchildren, Christina & Harold Crowe and their children, Dillon, Haley, Shelbi and Christopher, Roger & Ceceilia Taylor II and their children, Roger III, Tessa and Lillian; one great grandson, Trevor; siblings, Thomas J. Tayloe, Tina & Tracy Tayloe-Denton, Shawn & Karen Tayloe, Toni & Harvey Tayloe-Haddix and Sherry & David Akers; 10 nieces and nephews and 3 great nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents James Oliver & Marie (Koch) Tayloe and Paul & Louise (Beard) Snapp. Steve was known for his love and zest for life and when he walked into a room everyone knew it! Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 pm on Sunday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 5:00 pm on Sunday in the funeral home with Deacon Norm Horstman officiating.
