RAMEY, Stella, 98, of Springfield, went to Heaven to earn her star on January 19, 2017 in her home. She was born January 19, 1919 in Offutt, Kentucky the daughter of Ali and Rachael (Spears) Mollette. Stella had worked as a cook at Meade Memorial High School in Offutt, KY, later at Wittenberg University in Tower Hall and eventually at Town & Country where she retired after a number of years. Survivors include two daughters and special friends, Louise Nokes (Dennis Gullett) and Linda Hayner (Daniel McDonough), both of Springfield; a daughter-in-law, Nellie Ramey; grandchildren, Latisha Elam, Beverly Tuggle, Rebecca Eley, Rhonda Ramey, Cindy Phillips, Chad Ramey, Tammy Marshall and Jack Sodders, Jr.; 10 great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; one cousin, Erma Gallagher; very special friends, Gloria & Carl Lindquist and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom in 1995, daughters, Vivian, Violet and Phyllis, son, Cecil, grandson, George, Jr. "Scrappy", three brothers, three sisters and three son-in-laws, George Elam, Sr., Paul K. Nokes and Floyd Hayner. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Rick Clos officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. Entombment will follow in Rose Hill Mausoleum. Memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Dayton.
