Shelby R. Dalton

DALTON, Shelby R., 80, of Springfield, passed away August 21, 2014 in his residence. He was born March 28, 1934 in Montgomery, Ohio the son of Leonard and Okie (Mabry) Dalton. He worked as a truck driver for Southwest Landmark for a number of years and was a United States Army veteran. Survivors include one brother, Curtis (Peggy) Dalton, South Charleston; one sister, Ruth (John) Osborne, South Charleston and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Ann, a daughter, Amy Bratton, a sister, Ruby Dunne and two brothers, Harold and Kenneth. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Visitation will be held one hour prior from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
