Comer, Sheila M., 75, of Springfield, died peacefully at 8:04 a.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2013 in her residence following a long and valiant fight with cancer. She was born in Springfield on July 22, 1938 the daughter of Joseph M. and Bernadine (Willoughby) Sullivan. She was a Nurse's Aide at Mercy Medical Center for 40 years. She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church and the Pink Ribbon Society. Survivors include her three children, Richard B. Comer, Holly M. (Cramer) Burks and Randall M. (Tamara S.) Comer all of Springfield; siblings, Maureen Myers, Patrick Sullivan, Michael Sullivan all of Springfield and Debbie Knaub of Washington C.H.; six grandchildren, Chad, Zach, Sierra, Grace, Grant and Matthew; many nieces, nephews and dear friends (Dot, Jo, Anita and Susie). She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard "Rittie" on August 30th. Through loving kindness Mom touched many lives; she will be forever missed. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday in CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Bernard Church. Burial will be in Vale Cemetery.
