Sharon R. Nicewaner

NICEWANER, Sharon R., 84, of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 in her home. She was born January 1, 1933 in Lima, Ohio the daughter of Loren & Eleanor (Brennan) Allen. Sharon was a 1950 graduate from Catholic Central High School and a 1954 graduate from Miami University. She worked as a teacher at Tecumseh High School for a number of years and later for Springfield City Schools. Survivors include four children and spouses, Bret (Shelley), Beth Claar, Chris (Tracy) and Duane (Cheryl). Other survivors include 13 grandchildren, Andréa, James (Katie) and Loren Fleischman, Cameron Claar, Megan, Devin (Kayla) and Jacob Nicewaner, Carah, Taylor, Christian II and Shea Nicewaner and Hannah and Carlee Nicewaner; three great grandchildren; one sister, Betty Jane Warren, California and three sisters-in-law, Delores (Marvin) Phillips, Sharon (Thomas) Finch and Sandy Nicewaner. She was preceded in death by her husband Dallas in 2010 and a brother, Lonnie. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior from 11:00 am â€" 1:00 pm in the church. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
