Clay, Sharon K. (Pauley), 71, of Springfield, passed away peacefully on Friday June 6, 2014 at her home surrounded by loving family and friends. She was born on August 10, 1942 in Springfield the daughter of John and Nellie (Walls) Pauley. Sharon was a graduate of South High School. She is survived by two sisters, Mary Williamson and Kathryn (Roland) Griest; brother, John (Linda) Pauley; two daughters, Sharry (Mark) Haerr and Melissa (Doug) McGregor and four sons, Kevin, Keith (Laura), Michael and Mark (Amy). Sharon was the proud grandma of 16 and great grandma to five. She will be greatly missed by her large adoring family and many friends. Sharon led a remarkable life. She was a very loving woman and single mother to her six children and always demonstrated complete support and relentless devotion to them. Her success in motherhood has been monumental and the impact of her amazing life will be seen for generations to come. Her funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday in CONROY FUNERAL HOME with Pastor David Holbrook officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.
