Sandra Gallop

GALLOP, Sandra Sue, 64, of Springfield, entered into a world where she will no longer be in pain on June 6, 2013. Her family is grateful that she is no longer suffering and is now at peace after several years of living with pain and months of failing health. Sandi was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who truly enjoyed being with her family and friends. She always tried to make every holiday gathering special and never turned down a chance to include "just one more" person. She never missed her children or grandchildren's activities and was always proud of their accomplishments. Sandi was thoughtful, kind and never had a bad word to say about anyone. She was the person everyone went to when they had a bad day and she always knew just what to say to make things better. It was those words of wisdom that helped shaped her three wonderful children into the great people that they are today! Scott, Melanie and Robyn will forever carry her love and strength so that they may pass their mother's wisdom to their own children. Staying behind to continue Sandi's caring ways are Sandi's husband of 44 years, Ron Gallop; her son and daughter-in-law, Scott & Michelle Gallop; two daughters and son-in-laws, Melanie Gallop & Kevin Williams and Robyn & Jason Raidiger; grandchildren, Hailey and Faith Gallop, Khloe Williams, Kyndra and soon to be Baby Raidiger. Sandi's only regret in this life is that she will not get to meet her newest grandchild and watch each of her grandchildren go through life's milestones. She will be greatly missed by her sister Debra &Daniel Smith Heckler, sister-in-law, Gwen (Jim) Gallop Koneski and mother-in-law, Vera Gallop; nieces and nephews, Kim, Mark, Melissa, Tabitha, Chris and Jeremy and of course her numerous cousins, great nieces and nephews, friends and acquaintances. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Clarence and Pearl Drummond, who cared and loved her very much and helped shape Sandi into a wonderful human being. Her infant daughter, Jodi, her father-in-law, Thomas Gallop, her best friends, Brenda and Joe Donahoe and last but not least, her mother, Betty K. (Drummond) Smith. Sandi has so many people to welcome her into her new world, we know she will not be lonely and will always be there to guide us through our earthly trials and tribulations. She will be truly missed. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 12 in Rose Hill Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel with Pastor Neil Haney officiating. Entombment will be in Rose Hill Mausoleum. The family is being served by CONROY FUNERAL HOME.
