Hale, Sandra Gail "Sandy", 75, of Springfield, died at Springfield Regional Medical Center, on Saturday, December 22, 2018. She was born on December 21, 1943, in Springfield, Ohio, to Elwood and Beulah (Noble) Stewart. She graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1961 and earned a nursing degree from Clark Technical College in 1979. Beloved by her colleagues and her patients, she served at St. Elizabeth Hospital (Dayton), for 22 years; she finished her career at Oakwood Village (Springfield), retiring in 2008. Sandy was a prize-winning photographer, and she loved to travel with family and friends. She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Liz Hale, Deb Heister, Sherry Carlisle (Will Boles); sister, Patty (Ted) Hitt; grandchildren, Justin Karlewicz, Erica (Brad) Gilliam, Lindsey (Matt) Hardacre, Claire Heister, Sage and Sawyer Hale Wolfe; great-grandchildren, Ava and Wesley Gilliam, Maxx Hardacre; extended family and friends. She was preceded in death, by her parents. The family will receive friends at the CONROY FUNERAL HOME, 1660 E. High St, Springfield, on Thursday, December 27, from 5-7 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 28, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Deacon Norm Horstman officiating. She will be buried in the Donnelsville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, kindly make a donation to the James Cancer Center or to Pelotonia.
