Salvadore M. "Sam" Minna

MINNA, Salvadore M. "Sam" of Springfield went to be with the Lord and is celebrating in heaven with loved ones and friends. Sam passed on April 14, 2015 in Grand Court at the age of 83 years young. He was born June 17, 1931 in Springfield, OH to John B. and Margaret (Mandator) Minna. He married Iris (Hess) Minna and was a devoted father to their 3 children. Sam retired from International Harvester Co. after 35 years of service. He was a member of First Christian Church and was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict. Survivors include his three children and spouses, Tonya K. Minna, Springfield, Marty (Lisa) Minna, Yellow Springs, and Tammy (Tony) Compton-Taylor, Springfield; four grandchildren, Austin (Christi) Compton, Adam (Tasha) Compton, Deacon Minna and Kayla (David) Smith; two great grandchild Jacob Brown and Oliver Smith; a brother, Bill Minna, California; a sister in law, Carol Minna; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Iris Minna, and a brother, Dick Minna. A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME with Rev Bill Blain officiating. Family will receive friends for two hours prior, beginning at 5:00 p.m.
