Locher, Ruth N., 89, of Springfield, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2014 in Villa Springfield. She was born October 11, 1924 in Springfield, OH the daughter of Charles C. and Merta B. (Barkley) Truman. Ruth worked as an office manager for Fireoved McCann Pharmacy for 25 years, and was a member of Lagonda United Methodist Church for over 60 years. Her first love was sharing time with her family. Ruth also enjoyed sewing and working with stain glass. Survivors include children, Thomas (Marti) Nicely, Florida and Polly (William) Agle, South Vienna, OH; a sister, Phyllis Laurila; three grandchildren, Sheally Young, Adam J. Agle and Lindsay Beth (Ryan) Daulton; and six great grandchildren, Bethany Young, Katy Young, Garrett Agle, Seth Agle, Carson Daulton and Reagan Dauton; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Arthur Nicely; second husband, Luther Beals Locher; two brothers, Robert and Richard Truman; two sisters, Gretta Mehaffie and Margaret "Dottie" Poland; and one great grandson, Aron Scott Young. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Villa Springfield. Friends may call in the Conroy Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with Pastor Curtis Miner officiating. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.
