Ruth A. Moon

MOON, Ruth A., 91, of Springfield, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2015 in Oakwood Village. She was born February 29, 1924 in Springfield the daughter of Maurice and Catherine (Courtney) O'Connor. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Survivors include her children, Cassandra & David Ditmer, Enon and Richard & Cathy Williams, Fairborn; stepchildren, Patrick & Cara Moon, LaQuinta, CA and Marylyn & Mark Coy, Lakeview, OH; grandchildren, Christa & Martin McComas, Heather & Tony Booher, Brian & Tammy Botkin, Allen Ditmer, Mariah Moon, Jad Coy and Caz Coy; great grandchildren, Megan and Jacob McComas, Alexander and Courtney Booher, Matthew and Meira Botkin. She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Moon in 2014, her parents, a brother, Joseph O'Connor, a sister, Mildred Reighard and a son, Joseph Williams. Friends may call from 5 to 7 pm on Monday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to St. Joseph Church or St. Vincent DePaul Society.
