Russell E. Ferryman

FERRYMAN, Russell E., 83, of Springfield passed away Monday, January 13, 2014 in Heartland of Springfield. He was born March 10, 1930 in Springfield the son of Russell E. and Daisy (Greene) Ferryman. Russ had been employed as the manager of safety and health for Cooper Energy for a number of years. He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, Eagles, St. Vincent DePaul, V.F.W. #1031, Society of Ohio Safety Engineers and was a Unites States Army veteran having served in the Korean War. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Mary Agnes "Aggie"; two children and spouses, Mary Ann & Steven Mitch, South Vienna and Michael & Molly Ferryman, Columbus; three grandchildren, Jesse, Megan and Adrian; eight great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday in the funeral home with Fr. Paul Hurst officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Bernard Catholic Church or St. Vincent DePaul.
