KELLY, Rosemary Quinlan, 89, born to Walter S and Helen Ryan Quinlan on April 20th, 1924 has gone home to be with our Lord and Savior on December 19, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, two of her sisters, Sr Ann Marie Quinlan, IHM and Mary Helen Hellmuth, her husband, Robert J Kelly and three of her twelve children, (daughters Mary, Marilyn Michelle and Mary Pat). She is survived by her sister, Mary Catherine Kindl of New York, sister-in-law and close friend, Marjorie Horstman of Springfield, Ohio, her nine children and their spouses: Mike (De) Kelly of N. Ft. Myers, FL; Ann (Ike) Wilder of Ft. Myers Beach, FL; Tom Kelly of Whittier, NC; Carol (Dave) Morningstar of Ft. Myers, FL; Sue (Tom) Madden of Cincinnati, OH; Kay Cummings of Cincinnati, OH; Casey (Rob) Rollins of Springfield, OH; Steve Kelly of Ft. Myers Beach, FL and Colleen (James) Turner of Cape Coral, FL; 17 grandchildren and their spouses; 24 great-grandchildren; and two cherished caregivers, Nancy Ferryman and Bobbie Runge. She died peacefully at her Florida home surrounded by her loving children and friends. Rosemary graduated from Marygrove University in Michigan, with degrees in Home Economics and Art. While raising her children, she worked as a dietitian at Community Hospital in the 1950's and taught in the Nursing program at Clark Technical College in the 1970's. Rosemary is best known for her volunteer work, for her devotion to the church, and for serving her community through numerous charitable organizations in Springfield and in the Venice Diocese of Southwest Florida. She was frequently honored for her charitable giving and noteworthy accomplishments including her Galeana Humanitarian Award in 2012. But Rosemary was most proud of her children and, in her own words stated, "When I come before the Lord, I'll present you all as my greatest achievement and my ticket in to heaven". Her generous heart and caring spirit will be remembered when she is laid to rest on January 3rd, 2013 at St. Teresa Church. A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. in the church, with funeral mass at 11:30 a.m. and burial beside her loving husband at St. Bernard's Cemetery immediately thereafter.
