Rosemarie Smith

SMITH, Rosemarie, 89, of Springfield, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on Thursday, November 2, 2017. Rosemarie was born January 17, 1928 in Springfield, OH to Michael and Elizabeth (Hession) Kambeitz. She graduated from Catholic Central High School and was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church. Survivors include three children, Jim (Cindy) Smith, Susan (Rusty) Bayless and Liz (Dean) Blair; 10 grandchildren, Jacob (Hillary) Smith, Corey (Nick) Poe, Melissa (Kyle) Watson, Ben Smith, Meghan (Troy Perkins) Zimmer, Jason (Tiffany) Zimmer, Katie (Ryan) Mason, Libby Zimmer, Matt (Brittany) Irick and Kelsey (Brian Richards) Irick; 12 great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Judy Kambeitz; one niece, Kathy (Bob) Drow; and one nephew, Steve (Julie) Kambeitz. Rosemarie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother to her loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, George R. Smith in 2002; and a brother, John Kambeitz. The family would like to thank Villa Springfield and Hospice of Dayton for their exceptional care. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4 - 7 p.m. in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Bernard Catholic Church with Fr. Larry Gearhart officiating. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
