Roseann M. "Mickey" Knapp

Knapp, Roseann M. "Mickey", 77, of Springfield, died August 28, 2014 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born September 23, 1936 in Springfield, OH to Lawrence and Margaret (Weiner) Thompson. Roseann retired from the Springfield New Sun after more than 20 years of service. She was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church and a 1955 graduate of Catholic Central High School. Survivors include two sons, Tim Knapp and Jamie (Meagan, Fiancé) Knapp; two brothers, Gary (Lynn) Thompson and Rick Thompson; one granddaughter, Amaya Rose; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her former husband, James in April 2014; a sister, Sandy; and a brother, Tom. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 12:10 p.m. in St. Raphael Church, with visitation beginning one-hour prior in the church. Entombment will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
