Ronald "T-Bone" Shay

SHAY, Ronald 'T-Bone' Shay, 75, of Springfield, died on Friday, April 26, 2013. He was born on March 30, 1938 in Springfield, Ohio, the son of Francis and Anna (Whalen) Shay. He worked at International Truck and Engine Corp for 44 years as an Engineering Manufacturing Coordinator. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Union Club, and the UAW Local 658 where he was a chairman of the Retirees. Ron was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dolores in 2009. He was also preceded in death by his parents and sister, Joann (Sissy) Ferris. He is survived by five children; four sons and daughter-in-laws, John and Melissa (Estep) Shay of Enon, Brian C. and Angelia (Zentner) Shay of Virginia, Patrick and Pamela (Hoffman) Shay of Dayton, Stephen and Katy (Sullivan) Shay of Springfield, and one daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Dave Adams of Springfield. Ron is also survived by ten grandchildren, Nathan, Preston, Lydia, Parker, Ainsley, Kaitlyn, Connor, Jacob, Keegan, and Liam. A memorial mass will be held at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Springfield on Thursday at 5:00 pm.
