Smith, Ronald L., 61, of Springfield, passed away on May 21, 2016. Ron was born on September 12, 1954 in Springfield, the son of Charles and Gloria (Parkison) Smith. He had been employed as a truck driver for many years and loved animals. Survivors, in addition to his mother, Gloria, of Springfield, include his daughter, Kristin (Bryan) Smith of Springfield; one granddaughter, Kaylyn Smith; brother and sister-in-law, David (Gloria) "Kitty" Smith of Springfield; two nieces, Katrina (Mikhail) Lynn and Christiana (Brandon Kelly) Johnson.
