Lovrak, Roger S., 66 of Springfield, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at his cabin in Elkins, West Virginia. He was born December 7, 1948 in Bellaire, Ohio the son of John J. and Dorthea (Klee) Lovrak. He was a police officer for the Springfield Police Department from 1970-1991 before retiring with 21 years of service. After his retirement he was a teacher at Clark State and a Police Academy instructor. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He enjoyed traveling to Northern California to spend time with his family, was an avid Cleveland Browns fan, hunter and fisherman. Survivors include his two children and their spouses, Jennifer Lovrak and Keith Hamrick and Roger M. Lovrak and Erin Campbell all of Dunsmuir, California; the mother of his children, Anne Hamilton of Springfield; two brothers and spouses, Harry and Patty Lovrak of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania and John A. and Carol Lovrak of Hartville, Ohio and five grandchildren, Jonah Sky, Obadiah Star, Iris Masika, Zora Rose and Etta Violet. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Nancy Blumling. His family will receive friends from 3:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday in CONROY FUNERAL HOME with an F.O.P. service at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph Church.
