CRIPPEN, Roger L., 55, of Springfield, passed away in his home on Sunday, February 7, 2016 surrounded by his family and friends. He was born June 20, 1960 in Springfield, Ohio the son of Zeanas Jr. and Mary (Hayes) Crippen. Roger worked for the Clark County Building Department for 27 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who spent his free time in the woods hunting deer, coyote, raccoon, turkey, squirrel and mushrooms. Roger is survived by his high school sweetheart, Tammy (Betton) whom he married 32 years ago. He is also survived by his 2 daughters, Ashley Lynn and Allison Nicole, Springfield; a grandson, "his little buddy", Avery Michael; 2 brothers, Allen (Jackie) Crippen, Kiowa, CO and David Crippen, Guysville, OH; father and mother-in-law, Roger (Pat) Betton, Springfield; brother-in-law, Scott (Kristi) Betton; two sisters-in-law, Kim Betton, Springfield and Peggy (Shawn) Allen, West Liberty; numerous nieces and nephews and too many great friends to mention by name. Roger is preceded in death by his parents. The family would like to send out a special thank you to Dr. Pollock, Nurse Nancy Hampton Jones, Dr. Hale, Dr. Sabagh, Dr. Oehlers, Dr. Cass and Hospice of Dayton. Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Wednesday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME and from 10:00 to 11:00 am on Thursday. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Dayton.
