Robert L. "Bob" Eby

Eby, Robert L. "Bob" 75, of Springfield, died Wednesday January 25, 2017. Bob was born in Springfield an only child to Margaret and Charles Eby. He was employed by Navistar International and a member of Local #658 for 43 years retiring in 2003. Being a passionate learner Robert enjoyed many hobbies during his life, but was best known for his love of photography, having been a life member of the Royal Photographic Association of Great Britain and the Photographic Society of America. During this time he exhibited nationally and internationally, judged and lectured on photography accumulating numerous awards for his photographs and written articles from both areas. He read and studied the Bible daily and was a member of the First Christian Church enjoying the men's Saturday morning Bible Study Group. A special thank you for the prayers and support that was given for Bob and his family and to our caring and thoughtful neighbors who Bob enjoyed spending time talking with. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Vickey; one daughter, Jennifer L. (Eby) Myers of Springfield, one daughter, Kimberly Cross of Virginia; one grandson, Cody Nixon of Springfield and two granddaughters, Taylor and Shelby Cross of Virginia. Per Roberts request, a family service will be held at a later date. Donations may be made in his memory to the Hospice of Dayton. Arrangements by CONROY FUNERAL HOME.
