Robert J. Lemmons, Sr.

Lemmons, Sr., Robert J., 76, of Springfield, died May 8, 2014 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born August 2, 1937 in Springfield, OH to Joseph J. and Katherine (Krupp) Lemmons. Bob retired in 2011 as the owner/operator of R.J. Lemmons, Inc. He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church and a Life Member of the Elks Lodge #51. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Janice (Lee); four children, Robert J. and Debbie Lemmons, Jr., Theresa and Mark DiGiando, Elaine Lemmons and Lori Cumpston; seven grandchildren, Sheila Denney, Ricky Lemmons, Abbey Heinmiller, Kaylee DiGiando, Jordan DiGiando, Andrew Ross and Brittney Ross; six great grandchildren; two sisters, Dolores (Kenneth) Fischer, South Carolina, Mary Katherine (Bob) Parrett, Kentucky; a brother, Joseph (Mary Pat) Lemmons, Colorado; a sister in law, Joanne Lemmons; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Lemmons. Friends may call in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday with Elks Services at 6:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday in St. Bernard Church. Private Entombment will be in St. Bernard Mausoleum.
