Robert E. Saunter

SAUNTER, Robert E., 93, of Springfield, died Saturday, October 28, 2017 in Oakwood Village. Robert was born October 1, 1924 in Three Rivers, MI to Leon and Beatrice (Orr) Saunter. He received his Master's Degree from Western Michigan, and later retired as the Director of the Clark County Public Library after 25 years of service. He was also a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the Kiwanis Club for over 40 years, and a veteran of the United States Army where he served in World War II. He is survived by two children, Beth (Michael) Kashdan and Eric Saunter; two grandchildren, Aryeh Kashdan and Erin Saunter, and her mother, Wanda Perez; and special friend, Sally Rizer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne, in 1978. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5 - 7 p.m. in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Bruce Kramer officiating. Burial will be held in Ferncliff Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice. And that's all folks.
