Robert E. Field

FIELD, Robert E., 87, of Springfield, passed away December 3, 2014 in his residence. He was born February 27, 1927 in Cable, Ohio the son of Chester C. and Naomi (McAdams) Field. He retired as superintendent of the meter department from Ohio Edison after 42 years of service. Bob was a U.S. Navy veteran having served in World War II, a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus #624. He was an avid motorcyclist and trap shooter. He is survived by four children and spouses, Kathy (Field) Lyons of Springfield, Jerry and Bunnie Field of Diamond, Ohio, Jenny and Bill Kohl of Springfield and Greg and Tina Field of Huber Heights, Ohio; grandchildren, Angie Lyons, Rob Lyons, Matt and Tracey Kohl, Stacie Field and Keith Filakosky of Reno, Nevada, Jenny Lyons and J.T. Emmons, Katie and Matt Roeckner of Marysville, Ohio, Sarah and Rob Seiple of Columbus, Ohio and Shane Field; seven great grandchildren: Addie and Emily Roeckner, Dexter Field, Will Kohl, Shawn Filakosky, Jackson Emmons and Lillian Seiple and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Lillian in 2012 and grandson, Daniel Field on March 5, 2014. The family would like to give a special thank you to all that contributed to his care in his final days. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday in CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Bernard Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Community Mercy Hospice, Salvation Army or St. Bernard Church.
