Robert E. Cast

Cast, Robert E., 74, of Springfield, died November 26, 2016 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born August 4, 1942 in Springfield, OH to Robert T. and Dorothy (Nafz) Cast. Bob retired as a plant guard at Navistar after 32 years of service. He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, a 1960 graduate of Catholic Central High School, a member of the New Carlisle Sportsman Club, and was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Carol (Lowe); three children, John M. Cast, Joan M. Cast and Jenny M. (John) Krichbaum, Springfield; two grandchildren, Morgan and Aidan Krichbaum; two sisters, Joyce (Jerry) Stach, Port St. Lucie, FL and Mary Lou (Joe) Kuzniar, Enon, OH; numerous nieces and nephews; and sister in law, Dolores (Lowe) and George Simons. Friends may call in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in St. Bernard Church. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
