Sarrazine, Robert E. "Bob", 75, of Springfield, died at 3:19 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2014 in the James Cancer Center, Columbus. He was born February 23, 1939 in Monroeville, Indiana the son of Norman and Florence (Bowers) Sarrazine. He retired in 2007 from International Harvester after more than 48 years of service. He was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church and the Catholic Order of Foresters. He farmed most of his life and was a strong role model for his children and grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Eleanor (Relue), whom he married May 18, 1968; four children, Michelle "Shelli" Sarrazine of Springfield, Janet (Scott) Boivin of London, Kenneth (Mandee) Sarrazine of North Lewisburg and Dennis (Sarah) Sarrazine of Springfield; 15 grandchildren, Dustyn (Jarika), Valerie (Derek), Sophie, Owen, Ella, Ian, Matt, Hannah, Ashtyn, Dillon, Haidyn, Karter, Levi, Katelyn and Caleb; three great grandchildren, Naomy, Cylas and Darius; eight siblings, Rev. Kenneth Sarrazine, Norbert (Clara) Sarrazine, Leo (Marion) Sarrazine, Mary (Wilbur) Ort, Eugene (Charolette) Sarrazine, Donald (Patricia) Sarrazine, Ann (Lawrence) Schortgen and Bernard (Joyce) Sarrazine and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Lucille Sarrazine, sister-in-law, Marilyn Sarrazine, niece, Meghan Sarrazine and nephew, Steve Sarrazine. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Friday in CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Teresa Church. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Teresa Church Capital Campaign.
