Robert D. "Bob" Freeman

FREEMAN, Robert D. "Bob", 72, of Springfield, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2015 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born December 16, 1942 in Springfield the son of Othel D. and Ruby (Reed) Freeman. Bob worked as a painter for over 50 years and was a longtime member of Alcoholics Anonymous. He was a United States Air Force veteran. Survivors include one sister, Peg Neher, Springfield and one brother, Bill & Alice Freeman, Urbana; a sister-in-law, Patricia Freeman; five step-children; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a special friend, Cindy Foster. He was preceded in death by his wife, Susie in 1994, a brother, Jerry and a brother-in-law, Bob Neher. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Visitation will be held one hour prior from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Memorial donations can be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
