Robert B. Snider

Snider, Robert B., 91, of Springfield, OH, died October 4, 2014 in Springfield Manor. He was born December 8, 1922 in Springfield, OH to Harrison and Susie (Thackery) Snider. He married Ruth Lonsway in 1947 and was a devoted husband until her death in 1996. Bob retired in 1976 as a Springfield Firefighter with the City of Springfield after 27 years of service. He was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church, Retired Firefighters Association and was a World War II U. S. Navy Veteran. Survivors include three children, Robert A., Mary Ellen and Richard B. (Patricia) all of Springfield; and a granddaughter, Theresa of Los Angeles, CA. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Springfield Manor and Community Mercy Hospice. Friends may call in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, with the Firefighters Turnout at 6:45 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with Deacon Norm Horstman officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Springfield Fire Division or Community Mercy Hospice.
