Robert A. "Bobby" Schmid

Schmid, Robert A."Bobby", 73, of Springfield, passed away Tuesday May 27, 2014 in his residence. He was born in Springfield on November 27, 1940 the son of Edward and Evelyn (Temple) Schmid. He retired in 2013 from Bobby Fisher Distributing after 45 years of service. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, St. Andrew's Lodge #619 F & AM and enjoyed golfing and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Vickie L. Fisher; two sons, Doug (Katie) Schmid and Larry (Bonnie) Schmid both of Springfield; two grandchildren, Joshua Cooper and Jessica Schmid; great grandson, Hunter Cooper and sister, Wilma Selnick of Lake Choctaw and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Martha Lanter, Mildred Henson and Doris Schmid and brother, John Schmid. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 14 at 11:00 a.m. in Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor Dick McDaniel officiating. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Zion Lutheran Church. Arrangements handled by CONROY FUNERAL HOME.
