Rita Ann (Speakman) (Whitt) Jennings

Jennings, Rita Ann (Speakman) (Whitt), 74, went to join her loved ones in heaven on November 22, 2018 in Good Shepherd: her parents, Robert & Flossie (Tripp) Speakman, her husbands, Don Grimm and Mike Jennings, her brother, Wayne Speakman, grandson, Martin McDonough Jr., grandparents, aunts, uncles, in-laws and special cousin, Sharon Morris. She lives in the memories of daughters and spouses, Susan "Lori" & Martin McDonough and Kimberly & Robert Sheppard; grandchildren, Adam & Rachel McDonough, Libby Sheppard, Logan Sheppard and Lane Sheppard; great-granddaughter, Lydia McDonough; nieces, Jamie Hanvey & family and Erin Hoffman; many cousins as well as extended family and best friend, Bea Allen. Rita was born in Springfield, OH on February 26, 1944, with this being home for the majority of her life. The happiest years for her, however, were those living in EZ Hollow (Blue Creek, OH) among the wildlife and trees and later sitting around the weekend bonfires and the Home Rd. house (Springfield) with family. Special thanks to Good Shepherd Village, especially the nurses and aides of unit 2, for the loving care provided to Rita. Also to, Tammy Haney for the help you always gave and being the "Chauffeur" for the many weekend shopping trips that she and Sharon took. A memorial service, to celebrate Rita's life will be held on Saturday December 1st at 1:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service, in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Kevin Moehn officiating. The family invites anyone that wishes, to share a special memory or story of Rita during the service.
