Richard E. Wiskirchen

WISKIRCHEN, Richard E., Sr., 88, of Springfield, passed away May 12, 2014 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born March 13, 1926 in Quincy, Illinois the son of Edward and Martha (Kenning) Wiskirchen. Richard worked as a draftsman for Gardner Denver Co. for a number of years and later worked with Payne Tool. He was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church and was a US Army veteran having served in the Korean War. Survivors include his three children and spouses, Richard E. & Cathy Wiskirchen II, Mechanicsburg, Timothy & Sherry Wiskirchen and Kathy Wiskirchen, all of Springfield; two grandchildren, Justine & David Jordan, Enon and Levi Wiskirchen, Springfield, Shane & Debbie Dugan, Mechanicsburg and Nicholas Dugan, Mechanicsburg; one great granddaughter, Brooklyn; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary B. in 2003, a brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Donna Wiskirchen and a sister and brother-in-law Marian and Raymond Stark. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME with Deacon Horstman officiating. Visitation will be held one-hour prior to the service from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery.
