Richard E. White

WHITE, Richard E., 92, of Springfield, passed away Sunday, February 3, 2019 in the Forest Glen Health Campus. Dick was born October 28, 1926 in Springfield, Ohio to Thomas and Martha (Carder) White. He retired from Cooper Energy. He was a member and elder at Northminster Presbyterian Church and a longtime member and past president of the Springfield Lions Club. He was also a member of the Vintage Voices at United Senior Services. Survivors include three children, Rick (Diane) White, Sr., Mark (Diane) White and Kim (Dave Moceri) Smith; grandchildren, Rick Jr. (Corie), Chris (Vicki), Mark (Michelle), Matt, Mike, Sean (Tonya), Brandon (Julie), Chessy, Stephanie and Holly; 22 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jenny; a brother, Tom; and special friend, Gail Davis. A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in Northminster Presbyterian Church. A visitation will be held one hour prior, beginning at 12 p.m. in the church. The family would like to offer a heartfelt thanks to the entire staff of Forest Glen and Kindred Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.
