Raymond D. "Doug" Hayes

HAYES, Raymond D. "Doug", 72, of South Charleston, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2016 in Eaglewood Care Center. He was born November 16, 1943 in Springfield the son of Roger and Norma Mae (McClintock) Hayes. Doug had worked as an assembler at Navistar for a number of years retiring in 1993. He was adored by all of his grandchildren whom he loved with all his heart. Survivors include two children and spouses, Debbie & Ron Elliott, Granville, OH and John & Lisa Hayes, Springfield; 7 grandchildren, Heather, Sam and Makayla Elliott and Victoria, Madison, John and Nick Hayes; three siblings, Gary Hayes, Pam Stewart and Peggy Ballard and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Norma Jean in 1992 and his parents. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday in the funeral home with Pastor Brian Borton officiating. Burial will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Central Ohio Arthritis Foundation.
