Ralph H. Russell, Sr.

Russell, Sr., Ralph H., 91, of Springfield, passed away at 3:06 p.m. Friday, August 10, 2018 in Homestead Healthcare Center. He was born in Springfield on October 19, 1926 the son of Avenue and Edna (Brown) Russell. Ralph was a graduate of South High School and Antioch College. Ralph was a self-employed Television Repairman for many years and a member and Elder at Greater Grace Temple. Survivors include his children, Ruth Ann Morgan, Edna Russell, Patricia Russell, Ralph H. "Chuck" (Theresa) Russell, Jr., Ramon (Monica) Russell and Cheri Russell; only wife and mother of his seven children, Velma L. Russell; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and special cousin, Marveen Anderson. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Natalie Russell and his brother, Avenue Russell, Jr. His service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Greater Grace Temple with Bishop Ronald M. Logan officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery. Arrangements by CONROY FUNERAL HOME.
