Phyllis A. Kearney

Kearney, Phyllis A., 73, formerly of Springfield, died February 9, 2015 in Covington, KY. She was born March 3, 1941 in Lexington, KY to Arthur and Ruth (Bibb) O'Neill. Phyllis was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was employed as a teacher for 40 years, having taught at St. Mary, St. Joseph and Holy Trinity Schools. Survivors include two sons, Christopher P. Kearney and Roy McNeil of Springfield; a brother, John (Cassandra) O'Neill, Kettering, OH, Catherine O'Neill, Ft. Mitchell, KY, Mitzie (John) O'Neill, Ft. Wright, KY, Nancy (Ron) McPhillips, Cold Spring, KY, Judy O'Neill, Springfield, OH and Susan (Bob) O'Neill, Ft. Wright, KY; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Kearney and sister, Sr. Mary O'Neill, O. Carm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph Church, with Fr. William Kramer officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior in the church. Inurnment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the CONROY FUNERAL HOME.
