Peggy D. Chalender

CHALENDER, Peggy D. (Tabern), went to be with the Lord on Tuesday June11, 2024 in her daughter, Elizabeth's home in Columbus, Ohio. She was born November 5, 1942 in Urbana, Ohio to Bert and Harriett A. (Brown) Tabern Sr. Peggy retired from McAuley Center Nursing Home Urbana, Ohio after over 26 years as a Nursing Assistant. Peggy was always a quiet, loving and kind person. But she sometimes would surprise you with a witty dry sense of humor. She would do anything for anyone. She sure loved spending time with her family. Peggy Loved and Faithfully served her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Elizabeth Chalender and Jonathan Chalender; grandchildren William (Latisha) Chalender, Savannah Chalender, Isaac Chalender, Jacob Chalender, Evan Chalender, Riley Chalender; great grandchildren Rahsheed Shaw Jr., Kaylee Chalender, Isaac Lazarus Chalender, Malaya Chalender; sister Brenda Wilson Weaver (Oliver 'Buddie' Weaver); as well as numerous nieces, nephews and family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; Wayne D. Chalender whom she married June 26, 1970; her siblings Shirlene Adams, Saundra Porter and Bert Tabern Jr.; nephews, Brian Adams, Charles Wilson, Timothy Cooper; great nephew, Cullen Minnifield; great great niece, Lillian and great great nephew, Quinton; also 'Max' her Beloved Companion/Pet. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be at a later date. We greatly appreciate and thank everyone for your prayers, phone calls, cards and all expressions of love and sympathy.
